S.P.I.R.I.T.

Students Promoting Interfaith Religious Information and Tolerance
Welcome to the S.P.I.R.I.T. webpage at Glendale Community College. Let me first tell you a little about the club. There are many different religions in this big world of ours, with Christianity, Judaism, and Islam being the top three. Our club was designed to provide information on different world religions so the student can make up their own mind about what he or she believes. We recognize that no one religious belief is superior to another, and only in teaching religious tolerance and respect can we co-exist in this socially and politically unstable world of ours. This page was designed to provide information on club events, guest speakers, provide links to various religious information, as well as information on world religions classes here at GCC.
Why should I take a world religions class?
World Religions classes, designated either as PHI243, REL243, or HIS243 satisfy humanities and history requirements for graduation from GCC. They also transfer and satisfy requirements at major AZ universities. Not to mention the fact that is is a very interesting class and provides a beginner with a strong background in religious studies. There is a class starting at the end of this month so grab a short term schedule or follow the link down below for information.
